In this weirdly fascinating video, an octopus is seen using a coconut shell as a tool - which is pretty clever for a faceless, creepy organism. He/she/it drags around the shell at the bottom of the ocean so it can use it for cover. At first I was like “amazing!” and “that’s kinda cute!” and “they’re not such creepy creatures after all!” - and then, during the last few seconds of the video, it crawls all over the camera and I promptly felt pukey. I don’t care if it CAN use tools. Still gross.
